I want to...

Afternoon, walking by the bagel corner in the "factory," the sunbeams shed on the floor, and I see several young students sitting around the public tables around the corner.

This city is recently throwing an cultural event called "Pittsburgh Roars". Don't know much about the details of it, but it seems to be an event that host local artists with the idea that "encourage people to express their ideas freely." However, this is a pretty aged slogan; the city emphasizes its "cultural roots" rather than engaging with what is going on outside of this surrounded place. I feel sad for the young students around. Because I think their only dream by now is to get over some computer and statistic courses that they can later use to get in some local firm or the commercial business they think the world is made by.

There are several ways of imaging the world, or at least thinking about the relationship between you and the place out there. You can hear the kids here saying, I want to be, or I want to learn, or at best, I want to create...

But very seldom you will hear someone says, I want to understand, I want to participate, and most importantly, I want to change...
